I just got home from a long and tiring trip. Will blog about it, hopefully by tonight if Streamyx allows me to do so. Ta!
Yes, TBTB is too busy too blog for the slow ones. Picked up the linguo from Xiaxue’s blog.
At the moment, it’s almost 3 PM and I’m supposed to be at Pyramid getting a friend’s birthday present. I’m superbly busy these couple of weeks, thus, the lack of updates. Tomorrow (at freaking 7 am), I’ll be heading to Penang with my family and also Annie’s aaaand also my grandparents in conjunction with St. Anne’s feast. Will be back on Sunday. And you wish that I’ll update this thing when I’m back don’t you? I wish I could to. I’d be having back to back classes on Monday starting from 9 AM right up till 5 PM! And, I’ll be working on Tuesday till the following Sunday (9 AM till 10.30 PM can? Sobs). I’ll try to blog in between if I do have the time. Probably some one-liners.
I promise that I’ll put up my Redang pictures asap!
Oh yes, Happy Birthday Wai Chien! Hope you’ll have a great one. 🙂
Love love love,
To protect her privacy, I shall call my supervisor Ms. Hottie.
Ms. Hottie: When can you come in and work again?
Me: Next Thursday lor. My free day. 😀
Ms. Hottie: Aiyah. Do you have any friends who can work between Fridays and Wednesdays?
Me: *Desperately looks through phonebook*
So, you get the picture. My office is in dire need of a part-time worker. And this part-time job is perfect for those who just wanna make use of their lives instead of bumming at home. You can come in as and when they need you, which is maybe 3 to 4 times a week. The working hours are from 9 AM to 5 PM (Usually I go home at 6 PM) and the pay’s RM 5 an hour.
I know it isn’t much but heck, it’s better than earning nothing at all now isn’t it?! Besides, all you are required to do is make phone calls to contest winners! Yes, it’s that easy!
And, you can even choose to take over my day, Thursday. No, you aren’t required to work on Saturdays and Sundays. I think that’s just plain pathetic. By the way, my office is located in SS 19, Subang Jaya.
And and and, if you’re about to start classes soon or if you’re on a short holiday, (e.g. the measly three-week holiday which I was having) don’t fret! You can just come in for a few times and run along with your pay. There are totally no strings attached! How good is that?!
So, to those who are interested, please do not hesitate to call me if you have any enquiries.
If you do not have my contact number, email me at : firstname.lastname@example.org
Most of you should have my number. To unknown readers, email please. But not like my blog has any unknown readers. Wtf. I put my email there just in case laahh! How I knowww, maybe some of you are too shy to talk to me. Wtf.
I can assure you that this is a VERY un-dull working environment. It’s 6 PM now and I can still hear my colleagues laughing so loudly like nobody’s business. Usually, you’d find employees looking so dead right after lunch hour but not at this office! It’s an I-love-you-you-love-me kinda environment. Wtf.
So, do call me asap! Saya menunggu panggilan muuuu! 😀
Yeah, I’m at the office right now. “Working” it seems. 🙂
Thursdays are my off days. Thus, me at the office.
If you didn’t know, I’ve been working part-time at my aunt’s office since I was 15. And when I mean part-time I mean part-time. I work during the hols, and disappear during the other parts of the year. But for now, I come in as and when I’m needed. Anyway it’s the only place that I’m allowed to work at the moment so, yeah. 🙂
The office has been peaceful so far. The only thing you could hear is probably the continuous ringing of office phones and Panic At the Disco’s “Nine in the afternoon” blaring loudly over the radio (Which I like). Ah yes, how could I forget. And also me, sneezing like there’s no tomorrow. (-.-“) Yes, I’m down with a very bad sinus. Gosh, I find myself annoying really. The constant sneezes and blows aren’t exactly what you’ll expect to hear in a healthy working environment. My colleague’s so worried that I’ll finish up the box of tissue that I’m currently using cuz, well, that’s her last box. HAHA LIVE WITH IT WOMAN AND GO FETCH ME SOME MORE TISSUES!! Guess I’ll have to get some more during my lunch break, which is pretty flexible cuz I can go out whenever I want. There’s no certain time that I have to abide to, so it’s all cool. Wheeee~
Will blog again later when my nose isn’t so runny.
P/s: Bye Paper! 😥
I just found out that Paper (Nigel, but I call him Paper. Our so called ‘term of endearment’) is leaving for Melbourne this coming Thursday. Somehow, I missed him so much all of a sudden. Paper has been such an awesome friend of mine since my college days. We haven’t been meeting up as often as we should and the last time I probably saw him was on graduation day. 😦
I just visited his blog (Please update while you’re there!) and I saw the virtual dolls (on the right hand column, right at the bottom if you ever bother to check it out) which we created during our uber boring days spent at the Web. Still can remember or not, Paper?! And my doll is already 482 days can? Haha. I’ve really missed you la Paper. Have a safe journey there alright? Will be praying for you. Take good care! 🙂
I don’t like this lah. All my friends are leaving one by one. And in time, when Saturday comes, my bunny is going back to Melbourne as well. I, cannot take this.
I’m slowly counting down the days till all of you return home in December. This includes you Queenie! 🙂
Juju, Drene, Wei Ling and the Seafield monkeys are still around to keep me sane. I’ll survive, yes I can! 😀
1:57 AM now. Must sleep Michelle, must sleep.
Good Night once again.
Random: My dad just showed me this word, “Doppelkupplungsgetriebe” on the newspaper. I’ll give you RM 1 if you can guess what it is! No cheating okay! STOP HITTING THE GOOGLE BUTTON!!
P/s: My dad is super cute. He’s sitting opposite me, trying to pronounce the word. HAHAHAHAHA.
The below list was adapted from my old blog. Was reading through it and thought it was funny and wanted to share it with you. This was situated way back in 2006 while I was still in college and are purely my own opinions. 🙂
1) When asked to pay for your teh tarik, which costs maybe 80 cents? You’ll make the poor mamak guy wait for you while you dig out all your 5, 10 and 20 cent coins and you simply REFUSE to touch your precious 50 cent coins (to be used at AC). I’d give you the black eye if I were him.
2) When invited to go for a game of foosball (when you have 10 Calculus questions & 5 Biology essays to complete) you simply jump at the chance (Thinking bah, I’d make myself a few extra cups of coffee tonight and stay up till 5 a.m.) and you run quickly to the foosball tables, fearing that all the tables would be taken up and you wouldn’t get to play.
3) When asked by someone what is your favourite past-time, without hesitation and not even stopping for a nano-second to think what or how you would answer, “FOOSBALL!! FOOS FOOS FOOS!!!!!!!!”…. (-.-“)
4) When given the freedom to choose any topic for an essay, like duh, you’ll write a 10-page (Okay la. I exaggerated. Maybe 5 la) long essay about Foosball. But when asked to write an essay about social issues such as discrimination and poverty, you can’t even bloody write one page.
5) You have this stupid thinking that your hands are ‘itchy’ and you are in dire need to play Foosball to cure this so-called ‘ichyness’. Pfft.
6) You’d rather eat roti kosong (80 cents) and drink water brought from home (free) than eat your usual meal at McDonald’s which will cost you about RM 7 to RM 8 (Depending on which meal) so that you will have extra money to foos.
P/s: To the guy in dark-rimmed glasses, who wore red to uni today, and who forced me to admit that you’re sexy, (I’ll give you ten cents if you all guess correctly. His initials are TY) you’re still good. Not addicted yet. 😉 Good Night people.
Our journey all began with our stupid 8-hour bus ride (including pit-stops). Note to self: If journey requires more than 3 to 4 hours, please, PLEASE, take a comfortable coach which you can get peaceful sleep in. I came home from Redang with body aches all over due to the cramped up seats and also the bed at the resort which we stayed at. More about that later.
Before this, I had no idea that there was a bus station at PWTC (Putra World Trade Centre). The only main bus station I probably knew was in Pudu, KL. Come to think of it, I’ve never really travelled on a bus before. Not that I can remember of at least. School buses? When I was in kindy, I used to take it to school but after several trips, I cried and screamed and I didn’t wanna take the bus as the bus driver looked like Mr. Hyde. Sorry bus uncle! Wtf.
ANYWAYS, I remember getting all excited as I haven’t sat in a bus for the longest time! It was after around an hour or so that I realized, I hated buses. I mean, the bumpy ones at least. For short distances, they are indeed a pleasant ride. But 8 freaking mojo-jojo hours?! Crazy.
My paw print PJs I bought from the Cotton Shop in Singapore.
The packing-list! (Well, part of it)
To be continued…
P/s: I reckon that there will be around 5 to 6 parts for my Redang trip post. Can’t stay up late so often. I’ll blog whenever I’ve the free time. Bear with me okay? I know you will. XOXO. 🙂
For those who didn’t know, my mom has been helping out at the RCIC (Rites of Christian Initiation for Children) every Sunday after church, which is similar to Sunday School.
Well, she’s getting a lot better now. And I mean, A LOT. Thank you to those who have been sending their regards to her. I would say she’s like 90 over percent recovered and we (the family) are so happy to see her condition right now.
Anyways, back to the topic. I slept at around 2.30 AM last night and woke up at 7.30 AM. Yes, without a doubt, I was super sleepy and tired. Bleah, I’ve been having a horrible lifestyle now and it has gotta change when uni starts again! (Which is tomorrow) Sigghhh. Three weeks really isn’t enough!
Omg, I’m drifting again. Bleah. ANYWAYS, I usually accompany my mom while she’s at class. Normally, I would play the PSP quietly in a corner. But today, the VERY tired me, decided to sleep in class.
While I was driving home, yes, I was driving, my mom was telling me about this kid called Ryan in class. Out of the blue, Ryan raised his hand as he had a question.
Aunty Theresa, the other teacher (AT): Yes, Ryan?
Ryan: What is emo?
Mom and AT: o.O! …. Where did you learn that from??
(For a split second Aunty Theresa got a shock of her life as she thought it was a foul word as, well, she obviously hasn’t heard of the word and thank goodness my smart mother was there to save the day)
Ryan: I watched it on a show.
AT: Errr, I don’t know what that is.
Mom: Oh, it’s actually a short form for the word emotional. Like how people become sad and all. There, *points* for example, this chey-chey here is ’emo’.
(Yes, she was pointing at me)
I, was innocently sleeping. So I had no clue about what was happening.
This explains about the burst of laughter that I heard but chose to ignore. Little did I know that they were laughing at me.
Since when did Sunday School teach kids about the word EMO?! I only learnt it the last two years or so can? Tsk, kids nowadays.
Okay, I shall end it abruptly here. I’m gonna compile my Redang trip and Yee Leng’s barbeque dinner pictures and yes, I will blog about them!
Another quickie. Just got home from Yee Leng’s barbeque dinner. Fuh, I’m bloody tired. From Singapore, to Redang to, well, spending time with friends. I haven’t really got a good rest since I got home. 1:10 AM now, church’s at 8.30 AM. 😥
Redang was so-so for me. I was expecting a lot more from that place considering about all the hoo-has from friends who’ve been there. The only thing which I did truly enjoy while I was there was probably the naps which I took on the hammock.
Would love to upload the pictures but Streamyx is being a little b*tch.
Anyways, I’m getting super sleepy. Drene and I were at Yee Leng’s since 6 to help her mom start up the pits and to set up the place. To our surprise, Yee Leng was nowhere to be found when we got to her house. Tsk tsk. I shall blog about my holiday trips tomorrow afternoon (if I don’t take my nap that is).
Must sleep, Michelle. Must sleep.
Good Night people.
Love love love,
Just a quickie.
Yeah people, there’s where I’ll be headed to. It’s 8.10 PM now. Bus’s leaving at 10 PM. Am waiting for my parents to come home with my dinner so I’ve a bit of time to update. I’ll be away from Tuesday till Thursday so, don’t miss me too much will ya? 😉
Annie, have a safe flight to Sydney. I’ll be praying for you and have a blast okay (which I know you will)! P/s: Tell the Pope that I said hi!! 😀
Suey, I’m already missing you. Marking down the days on my calendar till December arrives. Sobs.
I’ll be back soon people, with tons of pictures, I promise.
Love love love,
