Manchester United 1 – 1 Blackburn Rovers

Okay okay. Before hardcore Man United and Tevez fans shoot me down, I better explain myself. I don’t dislike Tevez la. Just that he looks so funny that I had to blog about it. And I wanted to vent out my frustration! (I’m not a Blackburn fan, I’m a Gunner but I dislike Man Utd you see) I got quite a few messages on MSN + an sms from Joey (Man U fans obviously) asking me how dare I insult Tevez like that. I didn’t say that he’s not a good player okay! I merely said that he looked funny! ![]()
Anyhoo, I slept at 5-ish this morning and woke up around 12 pm to my mom’s phone call asking me if I wanted any DVDs as they were selling it pretty cheaply at RM 4.50 per disc. I was so bumped when she said the latest season that they have of Nip/Tuck is Season 4, which I already have! This sucks man. The latest season which I saw at my local DVD shop was Season 6!
And I’m still trying to save extra cash to buy Seasons 5 and 6. Season 4 only cost me RM 30 cuz they had the DVD-9 version which was the ‘compressed’ version of all the shows into two discs. They do not have that version for S5 and S6 which are a total of around 5 discs per season @ RM 10 each. ![]()
SAVE UP MONEY LA MICHELLE! Roar.
Again, as usual, I drifted out of topic. Bah.
Was watching last night’s match with Kim Han, Tee Yew, Azrul, Prem and Audrey. Audrey was damn mean lar. She wanted to get me one of those AIG jerseys for my birthday. Wtf. The match was honestly, pretty boring. Already I was sleepy and to watch a football match in ’slow mo’, it nearly killed me. But the last few minutes of the match was really interesting with Man Utd attacking and all. But nothing beats Friedel’s numerous saves. He deserved to be Man of the match.
And I didn’t know that he was American until my pop told me when I got home at around 2.30; which he wasn’t very pleased with. But he was understanding la. I told him I’ll only be back after the match but he got all worried (cuz we went for a round of foosball after that) and sent me an sms to lecture me about coming home late and how my mom dislikes it. Funny lah he.
I LOVE ZITS! No, not the ones that pop up on your face you dope. The comic. Enjoy! It’s 2.15 PM and I’m going to have my breakfast + spring clean my room/house.

Freeze For World Earth Day at Pyramid tonight! Be there and remember to sync your watches before you go. See you there!
(And try to wear something GREEN!)

A Day Out With My Hot Date
Currently listening to: Better Together by Jack Johnson
The title says it all. After I went offline (on my laptop), I went back online again on my desktop. And I’m the kind who can really glue her arse to the chair once she’s on. Was chatting with Suey and Yee Leng and it was just SO MUCH FUN! Little Lemur, are you reading this? I love you.
Yee Leng, jangan jealous. Kamu tahu saya sayang padamu.
My Hot Date (MHD) came to pick me around 6.30 and we headed to Pyramid for dinner. Walked around for a bit and he decided that he wanted to have Japanese and he suggested Sushi Zanmai (Next to Zen). He asked whether it was far from where we were parked and I said yes, it was at the old wing. So we settled for Sushi Groove instead which was in the new wing and near where we parked. It was our first time dining there and I must say, the waiters are all very friendly! Like, SUPER hospitable and all that. So, it was a good start. Everything below was recommended by the manager so we thought, why not? MHD always (or most of the time at least) goes with whatever that’s ‘recommended’. Sometimes, this may not be a good thing because in Malaysia, MOST of the “chef’s recommendations” are always one of the most expensive items. Thus, my RM 30 plate of pasta at William’s. CAN YOU IMAGINE? Paying RM30 for a plate of pasta at a MAMAK?! Whatthecrap. It’s not the price, it’s just the thought of paying that much for mamak food. Roar. Okay, I’m drifting. ANYWAYS,
Dinner @ Sushi Groove with MHD on April 20th
Mine was called Sayonara Surprise. (I know lah, and let me warn you. The names of their dishes are super tacky okay!) It came with salmon sashimi, teriyaki gindara and their very own spicy ziggy roll. And when I mean spicy, it was chilli padi spicy. Not wasabi. Wasabi, I can tolerate. Their sashimi was SO THICK and fresh! I swear I haven’t had such fresh ones since my family and I bought a whole salmon fish and sliced it according to our standards.
Yum! At RM 33.90, it was really worth it imho.
I know at this point you must be wondering whythecrap is there chilli padi in my sushi. Sushi Groove is an owned by an Indonesian who fantastically tried to combine Japanese, European (I don’t know how ‘gwai lo’ sushi can get but apparently, it happens here), Malaysian, Indonesian, Chinses, and cuisines from a few other countries which Zam (the manager) mentioned but I lost track of. Thus, the oh-so-groovy name. (-.-”)
MHD’s meal. They call it Groovy Beginnings. It consisted of their mayo roll (fresh salmon and crab baked in their own home made sauce) and Krakatau roll (gindara and asparagus in their home made mayo). This one was another exotic dish. As in, they really take the initiative to combine all sorts of funny things into a serving of sushi! Kudos to the chef for that. At RM 22.90 (if I didn’t remember wrongly), it is inexpensive and worth a try!
On top of that, we also had what they called, Rock ‘n’ Roll.
I know the picture looks farny lah. The lights in SG were really dim. Thus, bad quality pictures. I didn’t wanna use flash cuz already people were looking at me when I was busy snapping away. Anyway, this one’s a beef rolled with mozzarella cheese and mushroom, sauteed with onion butter. This one was yummy too. At RM 14.90, it was on the house! Zam did recommended it at first but we were pretty reluctant to order it cuz we wanted to abstain from ‘unhealthy’ meat. But he kept insisting and said that we should try it and he really wanted feedback. So, okay lor. Takkan you will say no when people keep insisting kan? So, we politely accepted it his offer. Ohmigosh, this has gotta be the most sinful dish lar. I felt so bad after eating it. Gym, here I come!
At this point, we were already stuffed to the brim and Zam was again, ever so kind to offer us free desert. Yes, free again! This time, it was black pepper and wasabi ice-cream. One scoop of each. Both, at RM 7.90 per serving. Honestly, I’m not a black pepper fan. In fact, I thought that the bp ice-cream tasted horrible. But I think people who love bp would love it la. Call me bias. Tsk. The wasabi, on the other hand was not bad at all! MHD agreed. When you first put it in your mouth, it has this really creamy vanilla ice-cream kinda feeling. The Ben n Jerry’s kind. Yummmm. And a few seconds later, poof! The wasabi taste hits your tongue and gives you this really good kick. Which was actually pretty good!
The total bill came up to about RM 60 plus. Not that expensive la actually for the kind of food they served. Plus, we got the beef and ice-cream free! And on top of that, they even gave us a 10% discount (I don’t know what for) and an RM10 voucher which can be used during our next visit. At this point I started to wonder if they were gonna gulung tikar soon cuz they were giving out so many things. But no lah, they’ve only been opened for about 4 months now. They’re very generous I must say. They’re willing to spend a little more than the rest of the restaurants around just to get their customer’s feedback and yeah, I’d probably go back there for a second time.
Sorry for babbling so much about a dinner. Hah.
Now, we move on. Went to the Pet Centre to change Muffy’s shoes and this guy by the name of Sasi (so sassy la his name, whatthecrap) served us.
MHD: Wah, your name’s Sasi? So sexy lah your name! (An attempt to make a joke)
Sasi: *Literally LOLs* Thank you, thank you! (Wondering if MHD was some looney)
Then when we left, MHD said to me, “Must praise them a little one! Then they will happily help you out!! I purposely said his name was sexy la. You think really sexy meh?! Hahahaha.”
(-_-”)
I nearly fainted.
Attempt to make a joke: Failed maximum. Hahahaha. But he was damn funny lar. I loved him for that. He never fails to make lame jokes each time I’m around and I swear I always laugh at them!
Btw, MHD LOVES watches. An avid fan of them. So, as usual, we visit Wata Time (now located at the old Vincci) to see what new watches they had in store.
I left MHD there and went to Crocs (kind of a ‘must visit’ shop for me each time I go to Pyramid, cuz I LOVE Crocs), then to Springfield, then to British India, then to Promod, then to Eclipse and went back to Wata Time to realize that HE WAS STILL NOT DONE.
(-_-”)
I present to you, MHD.
Hensem kan?
I love you Pop. Thanks for taking such good care of me while Mummy wasn’t around.
I know you’ll read this very soon cuz we talked about blogging over dinner and you got my web address from me. You know I love you despite of your constant nagging. Remember Butterfly Kisses by Bob Carlisle? Yup, it was already 10 years ago pop, when I wrote down the lyrics for you word by word and all that by just listening to it over radio for a few times (the Internet didn’t exist to me when I was 9 okay in case you readers are wondering what an idiot I was for not Googling it) It shall always be our song.
I love you, pop.
After Pyramid, I went to AC with Kim Han to catch the Man U vs. Blackburn match. I bloody dislike Tevez. He always scores all the stupid last-minute goals lah! Super frustrating! I shall blog about this one in the next post. 4.50 AM now, I need to get some sleep. Before I go, just to express how much I dislike Tevez, I wanted to share about how much he looks like an ape. Like, seriously!
Doesn’t he look like an ape?
Doesn’t he?!
Not even ONE itsy-bitsy-teensy-weensy bit?!?!?!
Sorry, my bad. He does not look like an ape afterall.
